Through lecture, demonstration, role-play, and questions/answers, Dr. Diggs, with the assistance of our staff, demystify the complex behaviors associated with personality disorders and teach specific treatment techniques.
Training can be arranged for small or large groups at your site or organization and customized to meet your specific interests. Dr. Diggs can also work with therapists in live sessions.
Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out, we can work with you individually to utilize the skills and knowledge that you already have to deepen your understanding of personality disorders and how to provide effective treatment. We provide consultation and guidance for individual cases or help you find new and creative solutions to your therapeutic approach. Individual or group consultation on your open cases with Dr. Diggs can quickly move treatment forward.
Every Monday Night 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: We offer free training with continuing education credit at our Chico office for licensed and pre-licensed therapists and students in programs leading to licensure. Each week we focus on specific aspects of personality disorders and treatment. In addition to lecture, the evening includes practice of the concepts covered and the opportunity to apply new skills and knowledge to challenging case scenarios. To maximize learning, attendees are encouraged to prepare a scenario to present.
Registration is not required, but seating is limited and first-come, first-served. This training is approved for 1.5 CE hours. Nysa Therapy has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education provider, ACEP# 6846. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Nysa Therapy is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
Come meet with us and your colleagues as we switch our conversation from borderline personality disorder to avoidant personality disorder. We've titled this meeting "The Wittenberg Model, Part 7: Development of Personality Disorder." The focus of this discussion will be how this unique disorder develops from the integrative lens of both attachment theory and object relations. As we like to remind newcomers, the group is completely free, worth 1.5 CEUs, and open to all therapists and students. We meet at our offices in Chico (572 Rio Lindo Avenue, #108) at 6:00 pm and seating is limited. We look forward to seeing you there!
Object relations remains the best and most helpful theory for understanding personality disorder. Yet, object relations models don’t adequately explain the highly dynamic reality of these conditions, leaving therapists with a limited understanding of how to provide effective treatment. UNTIL NOW!! After 20 years of research, study, and practice, Nysa Therapy has made a major breakthrough in understanding and treating personality disorders. We’ve developed a unique and dynamic model of object relations.
